I went to One of a Kind today with my mom and Sue who has known me since birth...and Julia. Thank goodness she fell asleep for an hour. I finished my Christmas shopping (!) and I even got a little something for
liradralyn's baby shower.
Julia was pretty good except when she got tired of being in the carrier...and started running into booths, at one point, knocking over a light, which the girl THANKFULLY caught. How humiliating. I was grabbing her arm when it happened but didn't notice the light behind her (we were on the other side of the curtain). I really should have pulled her away faster. After that, I discovered they have a free daycare!!! I had to lie and tell them she was 2, because apparently they really do not let in kids under 2. I felt bad about lying but my mom said, "Well, she is a very precocious 22 month old" (21 1/2 to be exact). They believed me on her age.
We were there for SEVEN hours, so I can't blame her for getting fidgety. Mom and Sue are probably STILL there! I walked to the Dufferin bus with Julia in her Ergo and caught it to the subway. It wasn't so bad.
