Tuesday night about 11 inches or so of snow fell on my town. It's not the record, mind you. 5th largest snowfall in recorded history is all. But there is a ton of snow, and yesterday nothing was moving. Today, the transit trains and buses are doing much better, but I'm still recovering from my cold last week. I think I managed to save the gumbo. With the addition of some cayenne and paprika, which it needed anyway because it had no kick, plus some peanut butter and cinnamon, I think I've reduced the burnt flavor to mildly noticeable aftertaste.
