Stress! LOL!
Tomorrow is when the busiest part of my department's year kicks into overdrive. For the next three weeks, it is Open Enrollment time. Such fun, really.
This weekend was Kumoricon. I was the FanFic Coordinator (I judged the FanFic contest, in other words); I ran panels on JDramas, Art to Fic/Fic to Art, Do you want to write a slashfic? (Totally a crack panel, I swear), and Elements of Good Storytelling; and I was part of the Craft Staff, helping with a Kumihimo panel and doing two stints in the Cat Ear Making booth. It was a lot of fun, but quite exhausting. I finished my slides for the panels last Thursday, and didn't finish the judging until Sunday morning! And yes, I am totally hoping to do it all again next year :)
In three weeks is Orycon. That's the Science Fiction convention that I am doing Hotel for. It is a lot harder than doing Hotel for GameStorm (which I am also doing), I must say. I will be very glad when that part of it is over. I'm also doing NINE panels! Holy cow! The one I have to say that I'm looking forward to the most though is SF Haiku :) Why should we be limited to prose? :)
Tomorrow is Halloween and I haven't even had a chance to think about my costume yet. I'll through together something, likely the apron dress I wore last year. It's at least pretty. It's a white rattlesnake print :) Naturally it will be raining. Just hope my skirt is okay for the ride in on my scooter. Sometimes the hems get a bit damp.
Anyway, that's what I'm up to right now. One convention down, heading into Open Enrollment. I am hoping that my stress levels go down a bit now, though, since I'm down to only two conventions for a bit ;) I do this for fun, you know! LOL!
I'll try to post a little more often. *hugs the flist*
