Sometimes I wonder if, at heart, I'm antisocial. It's odd, because I like people and I like to make them happy if I can and I tend to fret if I can't, but there are times when all I want to do is curl up with a good book or something to paint and just focus on something that's not how I interact with others. Today I watched a mouse kill its babies and eat them. KILL. AND THEN EAT.

I mean yes it is a law of nature and everything but I was told that these mice were good mothers and that they only ate babies that were stillborn.

Yes, I think animals have a sense of humour. Some more than others obviously but I think they can have emotions and good days and bad days just like us because we are essentially animals. What are your eye contact rules? I'm curious about this (I asked on twitter also) because I think this comprises a key component of human interaction that I have been skimping on.
