I'm kind of nervous about a phone call that I received this morning from a  magazine company I've never head of before but apparently I signed up for a free trial to several magazines (none of which I read). Yesterday, I started cleaning house. Dusted and vacuumed. Even cleaned out the freezer. 5 year old frozen meat anyone?

Today, I did some dishes, knocked down some spider webs, and swept the patio.

The rose bushes that my great-grandma planted were looking mighty pretty in the morning sun.

The morning of the 4th was a gorgeous! I picked up my friend K and we met another friend at the starting line for the Independence Day 5K race. K and I finished at the same time 32:06. This is a new personal best for me! Woot ( Read more... )

Bought a new lamp for my bedroom last weekend. It's a nice lamp. The thing is, if it gets left on for more than 2 hours, the switch won't work. The switch will turn until it screws completely off the lamp itself! Which is really annoying when I fall asleep with the lamp on and have to get out of bed to unplug it to turn the damn thing off.
