Lovely Weekend
Saturday:
The morning was spent cleaning my grandma's house, then my house, then some miscellaneous chores around the ranch.
In the afternoon, I went to the graduation party of one of my senior piano students. There was much food and because I had skipped lunch and it was going on 4pm, I had 2 burgers (one beef, one chicken - and not at the same time, of course!), chips and other munchies, and a slice of the most delicious chocolate cake I have ever had.
I saw an ex-uncle (that sounds weird, huh?). He used to be married to my dad's sister and they divorced over 10 years ago. Well, it turns out his current wife is the aunt of my student. So now he's my student's uncle!
There's another connection, but we've known about this for a few years now. My cousin is a postal delivery person and he delivers mail to their house.
Sunday:
Played for church.
Enjoyed more food at the potluck.
Was invited by my cousins who were hosting friends from out of town to come with them on a tour of Bidwell Mansion. There's an antique square grand that they let people play and I haven't played on it in ages, so I jumped at the chance! :D
Afterwards, we went for a drive around town. Then my cousin's wife fed us dinner (more free food!) complete with freshly baked cinnamon rolls for desert!
My friend, P, is coming over this afternoon to rehearse two piano music. It'll be the first time we've rehearsed on my two pianos! :D
