Post-Grooming
Tonight I bathed Faith and used my brand-new Dubl Duck shears for the first time. I really have no clue how to use them. I think her head looks good, better than usual at least...but I also don't really trust my opinion.

Novice Competition Handling Class 5

Today's Outing
Today Faith and I went on a trip to Dover Saddlery. I called them beforehand to see if I could bring a dog in, and it turns out they are very dog-friendly (which makes sense for that kind of place, I guess). My Dog Trains Me
Training works both ways. :) Recently for some reason I have had cause to let Faith outside to potty when we're running late for class or something. This has happened several times. She is a very convenient dog in that she doesn't feel the need to poop sixteen times at a new place (like Joey), but because I don't love carrying excrement around ( Read more... ) -
Contact Behavior Dilemma
I can't decide what I want to do about Faith's contact behavior. What I have been doing is asking for 2o2o on every down-ramp--the A frame, the dog walk, and the teeter. This has been working fine. My reasoning has been to keep it simple and not ask for a different behavior for different obstacles. Now I am trying to add a nose touch to the ( Read more... ) -
Our First AKC Agility Trial!
Yesterday Faith and I went to our first ever AKC agility trial to try Novice Jumpers With Weaves! We made three mistakes, so we did not qualify. But they were all my fault (as per usual).

Trial Video!
Unfortunately one of the tapes that my mom used to record Faith and me somehow got messed up, which means I lost the video of our Saturday Jumpers run. At least, I can't make it play on the camcorder. That is a bummer because jumps are what Faith is all about.
