Tonight I bathed Faith and used my brand-new Dubl Duck shears for the first time.  I really have no clue how to use them.  I think her head looks good, better than usual at least...but I also don't really trust my opinion.

Our flyball tournament the weekend before last was great!  I was afraid that Faith would not remember how to play flyball because we haven't been going to practices, but she raced nearly as well as she did in York.  We had single dog racing on Friday night after setting up (which involved vast quantities of duct tape), and I signed Faith up to race ( Read more... )

The great thing about poodles is that their hair grows very very quickly.  (This is also the horrible thing about poodles, but I'm choosing to look on the bright side here!)  A fast-growing coat means that you can experiment a lot with different clips!  If a clip you pick looks horrible, so what?  It's just going to grow out again anyway!  (Of ( Read more... )

Sometimes on Fridays Faith and I go to socialization classes in Roanoke, which consist of between ten and thirty dogs romping in one room.  Some people think it's dumb that I take my poodle to a dog playgroup, but these "classes" are really great for Faith because she was distracted by something shiny when God was giving out the rulebook for polite ( Read more... )
