Our flyball tournament the weekend before last was great!  I was afraid that Faith would not remember how to play flyball because we haven't been going to practices, but she raced nearly as well as she did in York.  We had single dog racing on Friday night after setting up (which involved vast quantities of duct tape), and I signed Faith up to race ( Read more... )

Flyball points from the last tournament have been posted.  (I never get around to checking how Faith does at the actual tournament!)

For Locomotion, the other four dogs who ran made 540 points.  Faith made...1.

For Midnight Express, Pesa and Isaac made 573.  Faith made...12.

Today I mailed off Faith's entry for our first AKC rally trial!  And I also remembered how the only AKC trial we ever visited was like....  Granted, during the two hours we were there, there were breed classes going on, but it was way more crowded than our APDT trial.  :(  I hope we do well.  I hope we don't at least embarrass ourselves.  (And by " ( Read more... )

Well, I got an email back from the New River Valley Kennel Club people, and they are indeed not allowing poodles to compete in their obedience/rally trial in October.  Outrageous!  The email I got said that when breeds are excluded it is usually because there is a specialty show nearby, and sure enough, that is the same weekend as Faith's breeder's ( Read more... )

Today was a pretty good day from Faith's point of view.  I only had one class this morning, and after coming home and having an extravagant and bizarre lunch with Kristen to celebrate our first day of school, we took Faith and Joey to the barn for a little exercise.  The heat didn't faze Faith too much, but Joey didn't feel much like playing after ( Read more... )

This weekend's tournament was amazing!  Faith was just great.  Yesterday she got 51 points, and today she got 13 points.  13 isn't that much, but she had a couple of bad situations today which she nevertheless handled beautifully.  First, we were racing the Beltway Bandits Greenway team, which, as the name implies, had a few green dogs on it.  ( Read more... )

Today Faith got her FDX!  (And her first 25 point run!)  She doesn't seem that thrilled, but I am!
