Flyball Points
Flyball points from the last tournament have been posted. (I never get around to checking how Faith does at the actual tournament!)
For Locomotion, the other four dogs who ran made 540 points. Faith made...1.
For Midnight Express, Pesa and Isaac made 573. Faith made...12.
Only 13 points to show for our weekend. It's okay, though, because I love her anyway. ;) I can't wait until she starts making real points, though. She's so close... I've been changing her mealtime practices a bit from obedience and agility stuff to more flyball. I have a couple of cans of Merrick food, and I mix some of that with Faith's EVO to make a delicious, mushy, smelly concoction. Then we go outside across the street and I send Faith to the box in the garage. Then I just squat down and she deposits the ball in my hand and is rewarded with some of her dinner. I am hopeful that this new approach in conjunction with our normal practice of us having a running, chasing, jumping, and tugging party when she successfully gets the ball will make her more solid without slowing her down. Last weekend she ran a pretty solid 4.8/4.9, and she's run faster than that before.
It's not going to be too long before she's making 25 points every run, dang it!
