Unfortunately one of the tapes that my mom used to record Faith and me somehow got messed up, which means I lost the video of our Saturday Jumpers run. At least, I can't make it play on the camcorder. That is a bummer because jumps are what Faith is all about.
BUT! I do have the video of our first ever NAC leg and our second ever Regular course! Hooray.
Things about this video:
- Go, Faith, trotting on the dog walk!
- Very awesome contacts, no hesitation on the pause (that sounds like an oxymoron) and even a nice nose touch towards the ground. (I'm not sure if this is because Faith sometimes gets a treat on the ground at the end of the obstacle or because I've been working on clicking for a ground touch, but I choose to believe it's the latter.) Okay, it wasn't exactly hard for her to get her contacts because I was RIGHT there with her, but still.
- If we had gone over the SCT, I would have beat myself over the head for taking SO LONG during my front cross. I stop with her so she gets her contact, then I slooowly meander over to do my cross, then I look around to make sure I know where I'm going next, then I look back at my dog to make sure she's paying attention, and then we finally go.
- Please ignore Faith's first non-attempt to weave. Weaving is harder at a trial, apparently. Also, we did actually weave properly after the second failed attempt, but my mom stopped taping for some reason, so the good weaves are not on the video.
- I'm wearing my coolest shirt ever, which has this design on the front and AGILITY on one sleeve and OBEDIENCE on the other. I was totally qualified to wear this shirt on this day.
