My mum went for a mammogram two weeks ago. She just got the report. They've said that her BIRADS score is 3. This means that whatever they've found, some white spotting, is 'Probably Benign'. The criteria for this classification is: "Findings that have a high probability of being benign (>98%); six-month short interval follow-up". Naturally we're ( Read more... )

I've got what my mum had. Not surprising but I'm so ANGRY. I feel the sickness coming on. I've started the meds pre-emptively, before any sane doctor would have prescribed them, so my chances of recovery are high.

But I'm a hot, weeping mess. I'm all over the place. I got hungry before dinner and had a snack which was the size if a regular dinner. ( Read more... )

So I had an entirely disturbing dream in which I was seduced, abducted, raped, experimented on, and impregnated to eventually give birth two twins in captivity, before being rescued by the two men I'd made friends with in the facility. I don't remember writing it. I remember waking up at five in the morning and being at my table, but I don't remember writing this. I cleaned up some mistakes and spelling errors, but I haven't done anything major to it. Considering that it's black-out writing, I'm fairly impressed with myself.

I realised today that if I get buried when I die (I prefer donation to science kthanx) I would want some things written on my gravestone, and said in my eulogy. They should probably be phrased nicer than this, but here goes:

- She was loved well, and loved well in return

And beyond that, I wouldn't care overmuch.
