An oddly misanthropic horror film. The protagonists are clownish, except for the kids; the human antagonists are unanimously vile with no redeeming features; even random strangers are unsympathetic. Another movie with people with supernatural powers. To me it's clearly inspired by Steven King's Firestarter, although pyrokinesis is the only power not borrowed from King's book into this movie. An interesting time-travel movie; it overcomes some wonky time-travel logic by having great acting and a good story that defies expectations.

That was... fun. A Laundry-style take on the cliché horror slaughter movie. Brilliant. People more into horror than I will see lots of references that I recognised as being something, but not exactly what. And seeing Her at the end was just perfect!

I wonder if the movie was subjected to a studio hack job like Bladerunner was? Some of the scenes just don't seem to follow on properly from each other; the whole thing was somewhat incoherent.
