An oddly misanthropic horror film. The protagonists are clownish, except for the kids; the human antagonists are unanimously vile with no redeeming features; even random strangers are unsympathetic. Um, if you hated the tonal shifts in The Host, you better stay away from Korean cinema in general.

Hmm... "hate" is too strong a word. In fact I don't think the tonal shifts were as bad as the fact that no-one would even try to help - or even hear out - the protagonists.

I've seen it and was mystified. It felt like there was a whole comedy dimension to the movie I didn't get.
