Despite all of the other crap I had to do, I went to the State Fair for a few hours today because it was the only day I was able to go at all. I had to go alone because my schedule is so bloody inflexible, but I didn't want to miss it completely.

shmike95, vhale, and The Boopy flew in on Friday night. We came back here and shmike95 and I stayed up way too late talking.

The next morning, vhale and I acquired mexican baked goods for breakfast at the farmer's market, and I finally returned Elmo Truck to The Boopy after it had been sitting on the floor of my car for a year.

So last Friday we went over to fortinbras16 & Co's place to play the new Star Wars RPG. It went very well, Doc Bosch did an excellent job setting up life among the outcast Jedi out on the fringe...before my character and an assload of Stormtroopers showed up to ruin it!

I knew traffic in the Bay Area was bad, but man...two and a half hours to get to San Francisco from San Jose? Half an hour of that was just trying to get free of San Jose, to cross four-lane streets with wall-to-wall cars in futile attempts to make left turns. Didn't do too much in terms of "birthday stuff."
