For most of the last bunch of weekends, one or both of us has been either sick, working, or traveling. We've very rarely been free during daylight/business hours to run errands or do yard work or whatnot ( Read more... )

Sounds like a lovely day to me! Amelie is perhaps the greatest movie for a vicious frosty night. I saw that film years after it came out and I think I smiled for a solid day. It was awesome. Also beats what I was watching, what's the name of that Jean-Claude Van Damm movie where he protects that farm and McCauley Culkin's little brother?

We ended up not watching it after all (see my latest post), but one day! I have heard lots of good things about it. I got it for $7 at Half-Price books.

Congrats on the anniversary!

I bought Paula Amelie about five years ago, but for some reason, she's never in the mood to watch it.

I have good news and bad news about the eggnog!

Good news: We've got the dry ice, finally, and I'm going to box it up and ship it out on Monday. I was worried that it had expired, but the earliest expiration date is December 19th, so we're in good shape. Even better - we found a store that sells a couple flavors of Hood right here in Delaware. So we can hook you up whenever you like.

Bad news: Paula won't let me play with dry ice. She sucks.

I have quite a few movies I've bought and never watched, including one (Versus - the Japanese gangster zombie movie) that I went to a great deal of trouble to obtain.

Anyway - OMG EGGNOG! I am very excited. Thank you thank you thank you. Hood in Delaware? I couldn't even get it in New Jersey. Amazing!

Yeah, we were pretty surprised ourselves. We just noticed it a couple days ago. It wasn't as wide a selection of flavors, but at least it's something.

Congrats to you and the Mrs!

Re: Guitar Hero: I thought the general public does not recognize the existence of Guitar Hero Rocks the '80s? I guess it's still Guitar Hero though :)

I couldn't resist the song selection, however small.
