It's been ten days since my jaw surgery. My mouth is still all jacked-up, and I'm still high on pain pills, but all-in-all it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. It's helped greatly that I'm a quick healer, even the doctors seem impressed ( Read more... )

Surgery countdown: 6 days

So much is going on now.  Still loving the job, but I'm having to work all the time to build up extra billable hours in anticipation of taking two weeks off for my surgery in July.  I'm sure I'll go LJ crazy then because I'm not so good with idle time--that's probably why I was such a terror when I was growing up.

My surgery is scheduled for July 17th!  It seems like such a long time from now.  I've been having a lot of problems with my jaw, especially lately.  To be honest with you, I'd be rejoicing if the surgery were tomorrow.  My head and face hurt almost constantly, and the pain seems to increase depending on how much time I spend looking at a computer ( Read more... )

Well folks... I’m getting braces on Tuesday--again. Back when I was young, I went through all kinds of orthodontia to correct my overbite and other problems, but I was a noncompliant patient.
