Jaw Surgery Jitters
Yesterday was a great day! Brad and I found out that my new insurance company will cover my jaw surgery. But, rather than counting my blessings like I should, I now have a sense of impending doom. Before yesterday, the surgery didn’t seem real to me, but now my mind is finally processing the fact that this is actually going to happen-and sooner rather than later. Of course, my sense of impending doom may be partly because I suddenly became curious enough to look the procedures up on the internet. I have another appointment with the Maxillofacial Surgeon on April 5. We’re going to try to schedule the surgery for sometime this summer (Yikes!). I just have to keep reminding myself that by this time next year, I won’t be in pain anymore.
