Just Stuff
My surgery is scheduled for July 17th! It seems like such a long time from now. I've been having a lot of problems with my jaw, especially lately. To be honest with you, I'd be rejoicing if the surgery were tomorrow. My head and face hurt almost constantly, and the pain seems to increase depending on how much time I spend looking at a computer screen. I'm sure this is in part due to work related stress and when I'm at work I'm in front of a computer--so I may have associated two things that have no real relation. It doesn't help that I have the most ergonomically poor work area known to man.
I don't hate the stress of my job. In fact, I used to thrive on it. It's frustrating to be at my worst when I should be at my best. My doctor gave me a muscle-relaxer and an anti-inflammatory to take at night and these seem to be helping some. Otherwise, I just have to tough it out for the next two and a half months.
ION--Brad and I are going to Charlotte, North Carolina to stay with my cousin David and his wife Stephanie, and to watch the Nextel Cup race at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 27th. We're going to buy a radio scanner after work this afternoon.
P.S. Someday soon, I'll write a journal entry that doesn't even mention my stupid jaw or the surgery--I promise.
