So I now work in an office with an Army Major (promotable) as boss, a Marine Major, and four Air Force Majors. Today Dickey USMC and Jake and Cleveland (both USAF) and I got involved in a discussion. I'm a bit disappointed that The Yiddish Policeman's Union won. It sounds very well written, and I may get around to reading it one day, but from what I've heard there's no real science fiction in it. Isn't that ironic
For some reason, the television ads for Hellboy II: The Golden Army worked brilliantly on me. It made me want to see it even though I' m not huge comic book fan and I had never seen the first movie. Tracking my reading
I haven't been in a sci fi mood lately. Sci fi can be somewhat hard work. You have to figure out the world/universe at the start of the story. I've been in the mood for easy read. In some cases, books I could read on a plane while traveling and surrounded by interruptions.
