Goal: Run a 5K a month May - Dec 2008

#2 - 31 May - Schertz Doggie Dash 5K - 29:49 (This may have to count for June b/c I will be on leave and vacation for much of the month.)

I do not know if you care or not so I am putting my ACSC and PT status update under the cut. I'm thinking that LJ will be a handy way for me to keep track of my progress on these items and having them readily available to me from a variety of locations.

I ran 1.5 miles yesterday in 17:55. I was a 40 seconds slower than my last run three days prior. I did however keep going for another quarter mile, so I managed to run a mile and three-quarters. I had hoped to run two miles, but that was too much too soon ( Read more... )

Well, not exactly, but yesterday I ran at least 1.5 miles without stopping. I ran it in 17 min and 15 seconds. (I say at least 1.5 miles because I think the 1/8 mile indoor track in our new gym is a little off with its measurements. The weather finally cooperated today, and I completed my PT test. It took me 14 mins and and 5 secs to run one and a half miles. I was pleased because several weeks I ago, I was doing a different 1.5 miile course in about 16 minutes. Last week I did the test route in 15 min on Monday and 14:52 on Tuesday.
