I'm in the home stretch now, let's see how long it takes me to finish the last third of this thing.
Day 21: Favorite opposites attract couple
Again, I ship a lot of couples with some pretty noticeable difference, but a lot of times beneath the surface they’re very much the same. Or they grow to be more alike and I ship them more once they do than I do in the initial opposites attract stage. Because even more than my affinity for slightly odd pairs, is my love of partners in all things ships, where the differences may still be there but they’re such a team that you kind of forget about them.
So here are a few examples of ships with a lot of differences that may or may not actually be opposites attracting. Of course I’ve talked about several of them before.
-Doctor/Rose: 900 year old Time Lord and a 19 year old shop girl, literally different world and everything, and yet...
-Guy/Marian: These two keep being part of my answers the last few days.
-John/Aeryn: these two never really stop being pretty different, but they’re so in sync and right together that they seem more alike than they are..
-John/Delenn: the human soldier and the Minbari priestess should probably seem a lot more different than they usually do to me.
-Mulder/Scully: these two have basically become nouns for people with such different beliefs and yet totally fit together (I also doubt their opposite-ness though since they are both FBI agents and all).
