So I was off visiting family for the weekend and didn't feel like/get around to updating, but back for now.
Day 13: Couple you ship that causes intense feelings in its fandom (read: flamewars and the like)
The biggest ones I’ve actually been involved in are Doctor/Rose and Harry/Hermione. The former has kind of mellowed, although not gone away I don’t think, while the latter...I thought had mellowed over the years, until JKR threw another log in for the flamewars. I tried to stay out of things in HP fandom too, but I got sucked in from time to time; DW I wasn't really able to sidestep what was going on during the RTD years, so I was probably most involved there.
I do have some ships that cause a general fandom no/eww/bad reaction if you bring them up, but not big enough ships to actually cause wars. Buffy/Giles being the key representative here.
But I stay out of a lot of the big conflict ships.
