Day 20: Favorite couple played for laughs
I’m not sure what to do with this one. It’s more than couples in a comedy; it’s a couple played for laughs, like we’re supposed to laugh at them, and yet I guess I should still ship them. I laugh with my pairings a lot, but I rarely laugh at them exactly.
So, after some thought, I’m going with George Michael/Maeby on Arrested Development. I do probably want them to end up together, so there’s an element of seriously enjoying them, but on the whole I’m more than okay with them being played for laughs and wouldn’t want that to go away. They’re funny and weird, and their relationship is pretty much wrong, and they make me laugh even if I do ship it.
