2008 was not a good year in my life for reading of real, hardcopy books (fanfic doesn't count). This was due to a mix of extreme busyness and to my undecided housing situation, which meant my entire personal library was packed away in cardboard boxes from April onward. I wish summer didn't smell of bushfires
There is a distinct smell of smoke in the air tonight. I'm pretty sure it's from the fires on the Sunshine coast, since we've got a north wind blowing, but it's disturbingly strong, for such a distance. I'd like it to go away now, please. I've made two trips out to the Dawn Treader film set this week. The first was last Tuesday; I just completely failed to post the pictures up earlier. A Study of Roses
Every time I start a new cake decorating project, I have to go out looking for references for the various flowers I am trying to make. Finding high-res flower pictures at the angles I need is occasionally tricky, though... and it always seems to be out of season for buying real flowers. The Dawn Treader is moored at the end of my street!
Well, two streets over and a couple of kilometers down the road, but definitely within walking distance.
The next Chronicles of Narnia movie, being Voyage of the Dawn Treader is being filmed at the Warner Bros studios on the Gold Coast (i.e Movie World), and they're using Cleveland Point for some of their location work. The park there has been ( Read more... )
