( For me, Saturday wasn't Christmas. )

It's been a week now since I had the big jaw surgery. After all that planning and worrying and preparing, it's finally over. But it's also the beginning-- of recovery, relearning, and a new face shape.

The day has finally come. I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 6 am, and I go into surgery at 7:15 am. In the past couple of days I have been to so many doctor's appointments. The one I went to on Monday at noon lasted for about 4 hours. They measured my face again and took lots of photographs. They also went over what to expect at ( Read more... )

Here I am, the evening of Wednesday, December 9, and I haven't had the surgery yet. When I went in for my appointment on Monday, they determined that I should wait until next Wednesday the 15th because my cold was still in full swing. Today we head up to Santa Barbara. I think I've packed all the things I need... I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I want to make sure I've got enough books and movies to entertain myself.
