Week gone by...

Dec 22, 2010 16:46

It's been a week now since I had the big jaw surgery. After all that planning and worrying and preparing, it's finally over. But it's also the beginning-- of recovery, relearning, and a new face shape.

I got up really early last Wednesday morning and we went to the hospital... )

Thank you! <3 Sometimes I don't feel as strong as all that, but I'm holding on.

Very glad for the report! I'm so glad to hear that you are healing well and ahead of schedule! It does sound very uncomfortable and painful though. You are a brave little toaster. I can't wait to see you again! I'm turning 30 tomorrow too! We will get old together! lol

Brave Little Toaster, yay! So I know you said your 30th was kind of underwhelming, but tell me one happy thing about it.

*hugs* So proud of you! Yay for us quick-healers, huh? I hear ya about waking up to random movement causing pain, but that goes away...the tiredness from little things gets better, too. For me it was rather sudden...one day I was taking naps, the next I slept pretty much through the night and wasn't tired again till bedtime! I know the waiting sucks (I'm starting to get really frustrated with it, too), but every day makes it better.

I'm glad to hear you're doing better too. I haven't had to take the pain medication at night as much the past couple nights (except Tylenol for a headache), but I am thoroughly annoyed by the sensations in my lower lip and chin and around my nose.... haha, I guess I'll cover that in the next update.
