Because of massive issues with his teacher and behavioral specialist, we pulled Mouse from school. He's now enrolled in a virtual academy charter school. It's occupying all of lilacstar's time to teach him. On the plus side, he's getting an excellent education. The resources are great. Even better than what the Beast ( Read more... ) -

Boys' Day
lilacstar and the Beast went on a girl-scout overnight today. Instead of camping, they're spending today and half of tomorrow at a hotel. ( background ) -
More craft projects
This year, I've created tin can walkers and stilts for our Cub Scout Den. We have a meeting tomorrow, and the theme is Japanese culture. To that end, the scouts will be using chopsticks to eat Swedish fish and learning to walk on geta. Of course I have to make the darn things. I've made three sets the size of the twins' feet, and one for me. ( Read more... ) -
beds
Mouse's bed was delivered today. Which meant I had to move his half of the bunk bed to the Eskimo's room. Our house is small and hallway narrow. I had to disassemble the bed, move it, then reassemble it at the destination. Also, Mouse's half was the bottom bunk. The hot water heater
For the past few weeks, I noticed that our hot water hasn't been very hot. Better than warm, but not a ton. I like scalding showers ( Read more... ) -

The Beast was given our foam mattress.
We then went to Ikea to look at mattresses there. ( We bought one. )
