Between my campus interviews and an upcoming conference presentation on Buffy, I am going to be away from home and/or traveling for 13 of the next 21 days. 2) I only fell asleep once today while reading Great Expectations - a record for me and that book. Yay!
3) I got a campus interview with one of the three job prospects I'm most excited about. Yay!

I did a lot of journalling while in Philly for last week's conference/job interview gig; the whole event just seemed so wildly improbable that I had to keep writing things down to convince myself they were really happening. This post is my first attempt to process and synthesize some of that stuff.

I'm at renenet's. We just cobbled together a bed for me: two lumpy futon mattresses on top of a futon frame with an annoying bar down the middle (the second mattress to mitigate the bar factor). Had a job interview in Minneapolis, which seems to have gone fine. I think. Maybe. Oh, whatever.
