Got a job offer this morning. Begged off saying yea or nay until I can hear from other prospects - just collatin' data, as they say - but it is really, really good to have an offer

Of course, by that point whole eons of online time will have come and gone and you may no longer remember anything about the original exchange.
Wait, who are you again? ;)
No, no, it *is* like I know you or something. Except that I forgot to end our phone call with "IloveyouIloveyouIloveyouYou'rethebestest!!!!!" Which I meant to do. Swear!
You are much better at doing than waiting. Little Miss Impatient doesn't believe in uncertainty. You'll know. You'll know within a week. In the meantime, go play. No, really. Here are your toys. Shooo! Get that ipod set up so you don't go wonky by being off your meds music meds. That's half your trouble with all this travel.
(In the someone's-probably-told-you-this-already department: In the English studies field, at least in my corner of it, it's perfectly acceptable practice to tell any other schools who have demonstrated interest in you that you have an offer [you don't have to say who gave you the offer or any of its details] so that they can respond. Having now been on the other side of the hiring process, I now understand how it's helpful to both sides to know when someone gets an offer.)
And a BtVS lecture? Sweet! When I get into college and pick where I'm going, will you come lecture at my school? :) I would love to take a class on it, actually, anyone know what schools have those? I've heard about them.
It's true that more and more colleges have courses on BtVS; not sure how to find out which ones, though. But one of the presentations that I saw at this conference was by a woman who taught a class on BtVS and Harry Potter this past fall.
