Had a job interview in Minneapolis, which seems to have gone fine. I think. Maybe. Oh, whatever.

The highlight of the trip was hanging out with katallison, lapillus, and jackiekjono, who picked me up from my hotel and took me back to Chez Kat for dinner, where we munched on olives and crackers and cheese and then Kat got out the polenta lasagne, which was very tasty, and - ( Read more... )

I can't actually seem to stop listening to Futures. I get into the cycle where I hit the end of the album and want to hear the first song again and the album just flows together so brilliantly that I can't turn it off.

I know! It's just one high point after another. My latest love is "Polaris," but I really think every single track is going to be my favorite eventually.

Seven half-hour interviews? I don't think my sarcasm turns off for that long; I'm impressed.
Minneapolis, BTW, is one of the areas where my university college is looking for a university to send our exchange students to. Did the place look good?

I didn't see much of Minneapolis this visit, but I've been there before and liked it as much as I've ever liked any urban area. The people I know who live or have lived there all like it very much.

The University of Minnesota is a very good public university, and there are several good small colleges there too.
