You CAN use the inside rein a touch more IF you have your legs on!
When in doubt, OuTSIDE leg into outside hand support, NOT the instinctual inside rein grab you think you need
Cantering Left especially, spiral in, get her up on her ass and into the outside aids entirely, then spiral out.

Today is still late-winter/early-spring weather with nearly no sun and chill air with roaming thunderstorms. Hey, we need the rain!

mild weather. Mild mannered. Mild progress.
no news on changing work shifts yet, but I'm totally enjoying my lazy mornings with Denali :)
Worked on dressage today, getting lateral work into her until she unlocked and opened up her stride. I could probably get back into lunging her a bit pre-ride as I used to... but I admit I'm lazy and side reins, etc just take more time.

We'll call this the "almost" ride.

With all the jeggings and skinny jeans everywhere, I no longer feel awkward wearing breeches in public (gas station, per store).
Presuming, of course, that I don't stink or have hay in my hair or horse slime on my shirt. :)
