bright side of fashion fads:

With all the jeggings and skinny jeans everywhere, I no longer feel awkward wearing breeches in public (gas station, per store).

Presuming, of course, that I don't stink or have hay in my hair or horse slime on my shirt. :)

What slays me are the faux riding boots with the spur straps on them. I had a girl ask me where I got my boots/chaps. I was like, "At the horse store cuz I actually ride."

Hah. Truth :) another LJer found a college student today wearing fringed english chaps. She did NOT ride horses. Just weirdness

Haha, I just wish they'd come into fashion at an awkward mid-calf height, too. Then I'd be set.

Or at least a fashion for almost-knee socks over your skin tight pants ! :)

+36000 !

I no longer care when wear breeches in public, but I do try to put the socks back under the breeches :)

(my only issue is with my jacket - Oscar loves to drool on it, so it quickly looks dirty...)

Haha. I always wear breeches and chaps to the grocery store (on my way back from the barn, that is). With all the funk on them.

Oh! I always have too :) but now if I'm at least clean, I'm totally unselfconscious about it :) I almost feel trendy!
