I'm just home from the 4:30 podiatrist appointment with Mom. The operation was a success. When the doctor cut the tendon, the toe straightened right out. Now, fingers are crossed that it heals well and Mom doesn't get an infection or an ulceration.

I was feeling pretty down, defeated and cranky this evening. Then I turned on the Ipod and tuned out the world while doing some paperwork. The husky voice of Robert Downey Jr. loosened up my overworked nerves. The smooth crooning of Tony Bennett melted the stress of the last few days.
