After almost a year, we have a supermarket again...and there was great rejoicingI know that sustainable good quality local food shops are much better all round than big chain supermarkets. Went to a barbecue at KB's sister  & Matt's place yesterday afternoon.  Or it would have been a barbecue if the rain hadn't been coming down stair-rods.  Ended up being an indoors party with lots of grilled food.  Had some of KB's mum's quite excellent curried goat.  Was also taught how to say the word "bacon" in Jamaican patois.  ( Like this )

I've been trying to go jogging more often. Have been huffing and wheezing round the streets and the park, then throwing softballs at trees and bouncing them off walls to practice fielding groundballs, for a change.
Watched the FA Cup final on Saturday. Best one I can remember seeing, as a neutral. Shame it couldn't have been settled in open play ( Read more... )

Went to kittensbroadway's graduation celebration on Monday. Quite small-scale - just family plus friends who'd helped her during her degree studies. Quiz on Thursday went OK - share of 2nd half prize.
Frantically busy at work last couple of days of the week - had to produce figures for new purchasing system while also fitting in legal research classes and manning the desk.
