Bank Holiday weekend here.
Chilled out on Saturday, doing a bit of shopping and getting Simon Scarrow's latest Roman military historical novel from the library.

Quiz on Thursday.  Didn't win with depleted team.  But we made a clean sweep on science, and got all the football questions right despite having none of our sports experts with us.  And I recognised Indiana wants me, by R Dean Taylor, on the siren at the start.  So we had a few little victories ( Read more... )

Went to a barbecue at KB's sister  & Matt's place yesterday afternoon.  Or it would have been a barbecue if the rain hadn't been coming down stair-rods.  Ended up being an indoors party with lots of grilled food.  Had some of KB's mum's quite excellent curried goat.  Was also taught how to say the word "bacon" in Jamaican patois.  ( Like this )
