The roomie and I went up to Vancouver to hang out and see some of the 2010 Olympic sights. We took a one day trip up to Vancouver via the Amtrak. Today was a rather relaxing day. We took time to go down to Seattle and visit the Elliot Bay Book Company. It is an independent bookstore in Pioneer Square. I had never been there before but had read about in my Seattle guide book and Katie and I had walked past there on Friday. Talk about a book lovers paradise. Just found out that Bon Jovi is going to be coming to Seattle for his new tour! Oh, I so have to get tickets!! Some of the family saw them in concert during his last tour and said they were amazing. I couldn’t go because I had finals…I am so going this time.

I went to Leavenworth (the Bavarian village) at the start of the summer and thought that if Dad and Penny had time they should stop on their way out. Because they arrived early they didn’t have a chance to do that. So today we woke up early and hit the rode. Andrea was a bit tired from the pervious day and decided to stay back at the apartment.

Last night we figured it would be easier to take the train in and walk to Pike Place Market instead of driving and worrying about the parking. We went to Lynden over the weekend for the raspberry festival. I can cross off one thing on my to do list! Saturday was beautiful so the roomie and I decided to the Point Defiance Zoo. It is located right on the Sound and in the middle of a huge park.
