Point Defiance Zoo
I can cross off one thing on my to do list! Saturday was beautiful so the roomie and I decided to the Point Defiance Zoo. It is located right on the Sound and in the middle of a huge park. We thought the location was great and enjoyed the aquarium section of the zoo. They have a beluga whale and three walruses. I had no idea that walruses were so big or so ugly. I also learned that if you shaved a tiger their stripes would still be there. Turns out they are one of the only animals with their stripe patter on their skin. (We stopped by the tiger exhibit during the tiger talk.)
Over all we enjoyed the zoo but agreed that the Woodland Park Zoo was better because of its size and the amount/variety of animals.
