Cake of HATE
I have had cakes of DEATH, and cakes of NOM, and cakes of CREAM, and cakes of WEDDING, but never before a cake of HATE. I really think it's time to leave this stupid LARP already. -

I *love* it. So much I don't want to talk about it.
Which is a shame, because there's a story behind it, and it's kinda interesting. Tomorrow, when I'm sober, I may tell you. -

I have given up on ever feeling warm again. :( It was bitterly cold in Cork over Warpcon weekend; little daggers of ice constantly burrowing into the skin, digging themselves right down to the bone and chilling the soul. Green thinking
Being a big gay hippy at heart, I've always been jealous of people who have garden space to keep a composter in and so can recycle their food scraps (and grow their own veg and herbs, too, but that's a separate issue). I have only just noticed on Facebook that an old BG work colleague I'm very fond of is pregnant. She's been posting about it almost constantly throughout her pregnancy, and has four weeks to go. :/ I felt a bit of an idiot posting on her wall going "Oh, you're pregnant, congrats!" eight months after the fact, but I hadn't seen any of her previous ( Read more... ) -

I was looking at the the pictures of the devastation in Queensland today; places I've lived in and worked in have been evacuated, and the BBC are attempting to persuade me that the road myself and Teh Australian drove along exactly a year ago is not only utterly impassible, full of snakes, bull sharks and crocodiles. It's ten years this year since I graduated from university. Fahk. As such, it's probably weird that I don't mark the change of the year at New Year's Eve; my new year starts after Warpcon, as January was always so busy for me in college that there was no point doing things like new year's resolutions until after the con was over. Communication. It's a good thing, part 2.
The LARP itself is great, though. I'm at a stage of comfort with it where I think I get where we're going and what we're doing, where we've come from and how we've gotten there. Which means I can now start making changes to how things are done. One particular issue is troubling me; there's no politics in the game. The PCs are all united as a court ( Read more... ) -
