Back with my parents for the few days before I leave. Tonight, we had a pseudo-Christmas, with proper dinner, tree and presents. I've decided driving is Very Hard. So, I'm discovering that part of the problem of a project-based job is that projects end. In my company, projects end around Christmas although some of them, naturally, overrun. 2009 sees the start of a new initiative to stagger the projects over the course of the year so that there isn't a bulk of projects starting in January and fighting for ( Read more... )

Right now, I have a very strong desire to be living a life where I'm drenched in sunshine, away from everyone and not required to go to a funeral at the weekend.
