It's ten years this year since I graduated from university. Fahk. As such, it's probably weird that I don't mark the change of the year at New Year's Eve; my new year starts after Warpcon, as January was always so busy for me in college that there was no point doing things like new year's resolutions until after the con was over. So I haven't made any resolutions, yet; but I am thinking about the things I'm going to do after Warpcon. Because the rest of the world tends to mark the turn of the year on the first of January, some stuff (like adult ed courses) will need to be started beforehand, but there are some pretty major things that need to be changed in my life that are going to have to wait until February.
There are the usual things, too; exercise more, spend more time with friends, read more, write more, spend less time faffing pointlessly online. Plans need to be made for those.
A big question on my mind at the moment is 2011 travel. For the first time in years, I have no continental travel planned, and no clear leader in terms of where I want to go. As I'm likely to end up taking a big paycut this year, money will be quite tight, which will limit how far I can get. I'm looking into short-term volunteering opportunities abroad, but they're all pretty pricy, although it's something I really want to do.
Dull update, I know. To make up for it, have some
happy. :)
