After a long absence and horrible neglect to this journal, I have decided to leave it.... at least for now. •  Geoff and I moved. We love our new place! It's a duplex built in 1924 and has many of the original features. It's AWESOME :)

I came across a statistic which chocked me today. According to a study done on people suffering from CFS, the average life span is only 55, and suicide is the third most common death. Third.A quick Google showed that on average, suicide is somewhere around the 10th or 11th most common death among American adults ( Read more... )

We got a second writing assignment this week for Unraveling. I had a bunch of it typed up when I accidentally hit a button, navigating myself away from the page, which of course erased everything I'd just written. Now I'm feeling quite annoyed with it, but let's give it another go.

I mentioned Unraveling in my last post; the online photography course I'm taking. Each week we get a new photography assignment, and also a writing assignment. This first week, the photography part was to photograph our feet, the foundation of our bodies, and reveal something about ourselves within the photos. I started taking an online photography class this week called Unraveling: Ways Of Seeing Myself. It's not a photography class in the traditional sense; the focus is not on technique or producing "great" photos... although if you do, that's fine :) The idea is that you will be doing self-exploring through photography.
