SS has a master plan for one of his friends and a LB, so I am getting the odd LB (Mr. Greenjeans) to work with to see if he can be tamed enough to be a decent pet. He's apparently somewhat people-friendly, so maybe there's some chance this will work out for everyone. Took Mango to meet her new foster/adopter yesterday. (It never fails... when I have to go into Arlington, I get horribly lost. Talked to a very nice young soldier when I mistakenly took a ramp for an army base. Those boys are damned polite. I should have clipped Mango's wings a long time ago. I just barely clipped her the other day since I knew she's going to her new home this weekend. Well, she has been so friendly since then! Papaya went home with her new people today. They were offered her or a peachface x fischer's cross (she just looks like a lutino peachy to me, but, still very pretty) and they took both! I just delivered Papaya to Vicky, who will transfer Papaya onward to her new home. I'll miss her goofy little self -- she's a funny, comical little bird and has a unique way of singing. So, it looks like both Mango and Papaya may have found potential homes. Hooray for them!! Mango is a shoo-in. She's got someone who wants her and who isn't picky -- just wants a LB. I brought home Nicky today. When I went to pick her up at the other rescue volunteers' house, she stepped right up onto my hand and then sat on my shoulder the whole time I was at the folk's house meeting their other birds. Yesterday was a rough day. JoJo was very loud and agitated, but, luckily, she is more settled today. (A very good thing!!)
