nicky comes out...
Here are real live photos of my new foster, Nicky!! (They spell it the crazy Prince way, but, I'm just not going there.) She's been added to the web site for adoption and these are her modeling pix. ;)

Happy to report good progress with her. She is VERY cage-bound, but, I found out that she will come out on her own (I think this is very important!) for foods she likes. So yesterday evening and this morning she has been out on her play stand eating her apples and corn. She's also been given carrots, sweet potato, pears, broccoli and peas, but, she's not too keen on those compared with corn (best favourite) and apples (next). She supposedly likes pears, but, maybe the one I have isn't ripe enough for her tastes yet.
The very best part is that she is out now and has been for an hour or so, playing on the playgym. And she's not unhappy (except maybe that there's no more corn in her dish! ;). She is still VERY nippy when she's around her cage, but, she is getting slightly better. And yesterday evening I had her sit on my shoulder and watch a TV show with me -- she did great. (She's a good shoulder bird: no ear attacks, no biting, only one ear-ringing squawk and that was quiet compared to any other conure.)
P.S. I'd swear she eats more food than JoJo the Umbrella cockatoo did.
