But then again, I don't. He just beat Igor Andreev in four sets, of which in the third, Igor had multiple chances to take the set and possibly lead the match in a different direction. But instead, and predictably so, Igor basically handed the match on a silver platter to Fed.

Way past bedtime and I meant to work on some fic for the Spring Fever challenge over at pulped_fictions and totally did not do it. Sigh. I have 3 days till deadline and while the idea is hot in my head, I'm having trouble writing it in word form. Can't I just act it out? Or do a screenplay? I guess I could. Or not.

I hate this whole Iran election protest thing going on. Not that I hate that the Iranian people are protesting. I hate that they are protesting and their voices are being shut down.

Some random fan runs down the stands, jumps on to court (Fed's side), waves a flag, runs UP to Fed and tries to tie the flag around him. Fed visibly shaken and security tackle the weirdo and take him away.

Just watched match point of last year's Wimbledon final and the look on Roger Federer's face is of utter devastation (understandably). And I was thinking to myself, you know, Rafa's loss at RG today is nothing compared to Fed's loss last year. That's how the Cilic-Del Potro match was to me. That's the only one I watched last night (other than snippets of Jankovic losing spectacularly to Marion Bartoli and bits of Safina's stupidity vs. Cornet. Thank the lords she pulled it out!) 'cos I had to get up early this morning. Good lord I started falling asleep watching it.
