This isn't directed at anyone in particular, just ranting. A secret on f!s today set me off. Normally I'm pretty chill and it takes some serious stuff to get me worked up, but I'm getting kinda sick of feeling like I'm doing something wrong just because I'm doing something that I like.

Although AUs, crack, slash and the like are fun, seeing some fics that have the same feel as KH would be nice too.

On another note, I put Sora, Riku, and Kairi through the Mary-Sue test. Sora got a 30, Riku got a 34, Kairi got a 28. I'm guilty of this too, but stop calling her a canon ( Read more... )

I long for a good, epic KH adventure fic, and so where else do I go, but the Pit?  Hell, I'm even fine with a mild-Sue [Note: mild, not extra-spicy] main character as long as its well written and the Sue doesn't get too out of control.  I do like OCs, after all.

Unclear and incorrect classification has officially become my new pet peeve. :[ I just finished reading this totally epic AkuRoku fic, in spite of the fact that 1)I don't even like AkuRoku and 2)the idea of the entire Organization (except Larxene!) basically being gay for each other was terribly uncreative for a relatively creative fic. So. I loved inxblot's plot bunny post. Lotsa good suggestions.

But it got me thinking about several other things that have been said. Things like "crack works if it's IC" or "not all OCs are bad". Therefore, a challenge, if you will.

Not every fanfiction in the world has to have smut in it. So, when I've written something that I've spent hours on, have tried to get all the characters as IC as I possibly can, with Axel being delightfully sarky and Roxas being stubborn, with healthy amounts of dialogue and description and a plausible storyline, the last thing I want is someone ( Read more... )
