Christmas in Burnley
Christmas was good: the drives in the driving (oh dear) rain weren't too bad, and there were some spectacular waterfalls in the Peaks. Nothing much to report: it was simply a nice relaxing time.

I must have mentioned we had an offer accepted on a house, right? Well, the first mortgage we went for fell foul of the house being in an industrial estate and the lender not giving mortgages on houses it could only sell on for investment purposes. Ah, the first three months of the year... January sales, another Uni course instalment, February sales, car insurance. The sales were the shoe-buying stage, but now the car insurance is due. I've had a headache for ~3 days now. Paracetamol helps, but not completely, and there's no way I'm dehydrated unless my body's just refusing to soak up water... Regardless, I feel like shit at the moment and today's the worst of the three so far.

This weekend I went into town early on Saturday and trawled the pound shops. I bought some Christmas presents for Matt, some stuff for Halloween next year (see this post) and a few other bits and bobs.
