We had pleasant weather yesterday, but the cold weather is a-comin'. I felt it today, where I had to put a sweater over my sweater at work past a certain point. It was chilly in there, but because I didn't want to sweat out the room renters, I couldn't put the heat up any higher. I left work about 7:15 last night. Our main room renter has been out sick for a week now, meaning I was able to get out relatively on time. Believe me, during the busy season, I want to be there as little as possible. It's been unusually hot, with highs in the upper 90s and the heat index even higher on Monday and Tuesday. This has been a weird week off, almost reminiscent of camp 2004. We've hit a hot and, more importantly, humid spell. I got home last night and the sidelights by the front door were fogged over. I hadn't come across any rain at work or on my ride home, so I was surprised to discover it had poured at my house an hour or so earlier. On Sunday, we had protein salads for dinner--egg salad and ham salad sandwiches (the ham salad was supposed to be tuna but the wrong container was in the slot and...I am my father's daughter, i.e., reading is hard).
