The bees were especially friendly this weekend

Our weather has been mildly affected by Hurricane Helene--thankfully nothing like what the Southeast has been dealing with (and Adam, if you're reading, how are things by you?), just a fair amount of wind for a few days coming off the outer bands of the weather system. It wasn't enough to deter me from going outside for a bit both Saturday and Sunday. I've really needed the quiet time. Saturday ended up being pretty restful for me, though I'm back to being a ball of stress, unfortunately.

One bit of amusement, as well as annoyance, came while eating outside. On Saturday, a bee seemed to want to partake of my lunch with me. On Sunday, she brought friends. Like...no, I do not want three bees trying to figure out how to extract nectar from my slice of almond roll. Also, bee, you are a vegetarian. Please stop climbing on the outer wrapping of my slice of chicken baloney. Those bees kept trying to enjoy my picnic and I wasn't having it. Walking on my Terra Chips is not acceptable behavior. Eventually they left and I was left alone, but goodness. It's been a long time since I had company of that sort.
