I felt so horrible last night that I went to bed not long after writing. Really. Can we say eight o'clock? I went upstairs, turned on the TV, turned off the light, and tried to sleep. I slept on and off until seven this morning. I even ( had a weird dream. )

Welcome to winter. I got in my car this morning and thought there was something wrong with my time and temperature gauge--the temperature showed only one digit. Whoops, my bad, it actually *was* that cold. It was nine degrees, warming to ten by the time I got to the mall. Laura and I *finally* got together for birthdays/work celebration/the holidays. Off we went to Dave & Buster's for skee ball and other fun stuff. Today's fun at work: I was scheduled at 8:45. My boss thought I was coming in at 8:15. The mall opens at nine. I was the first person there. Translation: I got a crash-course in opening...and opening quickly. Great. And, what's better, the person who was supposed to open hadn't opened by himself at all. I got to close all by myself tonight. Overall, it went okay. The kiosk was $10 short, which is not good...I wasn't down there at all, so I couldn't tell you what happened. But I did get one register shut down an hour before the store closed, and aside from being off a few cents, the upstairs closing was okay. I'm upset that I wasn't able to ( Read more... )

I started my keyholder duties today. I opened and closed--the last time I'd be able to do that before the holidays. (Oh, hooray for the mall's holiday hours.) I was supposed to go to the bank with my boss this morning, but he ended up going before I even got there. Gee, thanks.
